Privacy policy

Gymnesia is developed by Milos Mandaric. This policy describes the Gymnesia iPhone and Apple Watch apps and this support website. For questions, contact support@virsle.org.

Workout data

Gymnesia stores your workout plans, exercises, sets, weights, repetitions, history, and preferences on your devices. The app uses Apple’s private iCloud database to sync supported workout data when iCloud is available, and Apple’s WatchConnectivity to exchange workout information between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. The developer does not operate a server that receives your workout log.

Apple Health

With your permission, Gymnesia reads workout, heart-rate, and energy information and records completed workouts in Apple Health. These permissions support workout features. Gymnesia does not use Health data for advertising or sell it. You can change permissions in Apple Health or your device’s privacy settings. Revoking access does not automatically erase records already saved in Apple Health; you can manage those records there.

Purchases and trial access

Apple processes in-app purchases. Gymnesia uses purchase-entitlement information to provide and restore paid Watch access. It also stores trial-access information locally and through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to keep access consistent across your devices. The app does not receive your payment-card details.

Diagnostics and support

The app keeps diagnostic events on your device to help investigate errors. A compact recent diagnostic history also syncs through your iCloud account to help recover from a reinstall; it excludes exercise names, weights, and Health data. Diagnostics are not automatically uploaded to a developer-operated server. If you choose to export and send diagnostics, a backup, a screenshot, or an email to support, the developer receives the information you include. Review exports before sharing them and avoid sending sensitive health information unless needed for your request.

Support correspondence is used to respond to your request and investigate the issue. It is kept only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable obligations. You may request deletion by email.

Tracking and advertising

Gymnesia does not include advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. It does not sell your personal information or use your health information for advertising.

Exports and deletion

You control the files you export and where you save or share them. Use the app’s Settings → Data controls to export or delete workout data. Copies you exported elsewhere, records in Apple Health, and Apple’s purchase records are managed separately. Deleting the app alone may leave synced data, backups, and Health records in their respective services.

This website

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. It may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or a contact form. Email links open your own mail app. Apple and Cloudflare handle information under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can manage Health permissions, iCloud settings, notifications, exports, and stored workout information through the app and Apple’s device settings. For information you have sent directly to support, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting the address above.

Changes

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the date above will change.
